Two teams of Under 10 Girls travelled to Surbiton with no subs for a full set of matches and some superb experience...

The GHC Under 10 Girls Development Squad set off for London on the cold and damp morning of Sunday, November 25^th for their first match experience. They arrived in Battersea Park to find it dry and warmer, ready for the first push back at 1245 in their festival-style tournament...

The Under 18 Boys were off to Merchant Taylor's School early this morning to take on OMT in Round 2 of the England Hockey National Tier 1 Championships....

Winter had arrived in Esher with a frozen pitch to greet the girls on arrival. But the girls warmed up well and were prepared to do their best against a decent Old Cranleighans side.

We knew from the start that this game was going to be tough but I was so proud of the boys and how they fought every minute of the game...

The BU14 B Team came up against their toughest opponents this season in Tier 2 of the England Hockey Championships and have since ascertained that Holcombe have not entered a Team in Tier 1 (so we were clearly playing their A Team)...

It was with a certain amount of trepidation that Guildford Fire swept up the A3 towards Wimbledon who were hosting the festival for the day. The rains for the last two days including Friday’s nights training, meant we weren’t sure whether we would need to bring our wellies and inflatables with us or out hockey sticks!

We played 4 tough matches in the bright sunshine against strong players from Ealing and Wimbledon and the girls played really well to keep up with the opposition.

Under 10 Girls Fire, Storm and Hurricane were out at Surbiton on Sunday for some super games of hockey. Good learning from a fun day out...
