20181013-M1sTeamThe GHC Men’s 1s unbeaten run has come to end after a fantastic 18 match streak. A deserving Horsham side were the team to do it at their place on Saturday afternoon.

20181020-ShadowsTeam-crop4The Shadows travelled to play league leaders Horley in high spirits after an unbeaten run in the league this calendar year.

20180916-GondoliersWhat a stunning day it was in every sense. The Gondos arrived at Broadwater in good spirits excited about their run around in the sunshine against bottom of the league 10 man Havant.

20181013-M1sTeamSaturday saw the sun shine down on Broadwater School for the Men’s 1st XI game against Eastbourne. The heat added to what was already set up to be a tough encounter, following a first round draw down on the South Coast.

20181013-M1sTeamFive games to go and five weeks of hard work and commitment left for the Men’s 1st XI...

20180916-GondoliersIt was with some justified trepidation that the Gondoliers set off to play top of the table Oxford Hawks...

20180916-GondoliersThe Gondoliers comprehensively overcame a strengthened Winchester side by the massive margin of 2-1 after going behind early on.

Mullins hit back to level the scores and Savage, moving up from the back, scored from an improbably tight angle to net the winner. In between, Mullins, with a clear sight on goal, managed to hit the upright from the top of the D.

The Gondoliers dropped their tempo both in terms of ball speed and positioning in response to the home side's lack of pace and urgency, and were unable to execute their short passing game plan in the absence of our own players within 25 yards of the ball carrier.

Fitter made a solid debut at sweeper, and thanks to Gould, Herrmann and Mowat for guesting for the opposition and it was good to see Shelbourne's debut for the year.

Good hospitality was provided at the Hursley Club. On offer was a choice of tangy curries (with seconds on offer; though not thirds), nice beer and very entertaining rugby (unless you are Welsh).

20181013-M1sTeamOn Saturday afternoon the Ladies set the standard once again with another comfortable win against local rivals Havant HC, before Slough arrived to take on our Mens side...

20181013-M1sTeamThank goodness the away trip to London Academicals is done. This was always going to be a tough journey, made even tougher this weekend with several of the regular 1st XI unavailable...

20181013-M1sTeamThe GHC Men’s 1st XI beat local rivals, Woking Hockey Club, 4-0 at home on Saturday afternoon, the highlight being the first clean sheet in some time and against a much-improved Woking outfit from the away fixture earlier in the season...
