BU13Cricket2015Winners-200Many of us know that we have shared history with Guildford Cricket Club. Guildford HC was based at the facility on Woodbridge Road in Guildford, still is use today by the Cricket Club, until moving to our current facility at Broadwater. We even share a logo - if you look closely, you will how similar are the crests on our shirts.

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday 5th July at the Clubhouse. A big thank you to all who came and participated and supported - we were 67 members in attendance including good representation from all sections of the Club. Well done everyone...
 

AliceLane-200Alice Lane comes to Guildford with 10 years of National League playing experience at a range of large clubs around the country including St Albans, Bristol Firebrands and most notably Reading where she was Captain of their National League side for nearly 5 years including leading them into the Premier League. This experience, she says, has provided her with a good insight into the workings of successful clubs...

2015-05-2604 Course-200Each year the junior season seems to go on longer and start earlier and this season is no excpetion. Normally finished by Easter, this year we had Under 18 Girls in League Play-offs in May and Under 14 Boys in League and National Finals also. And there was so much demand for the hockey to continue that we organised further mid-week evening skills sessions and a half-term course in May - something we haven't done before but we kept dozens of young players happy with 2 more days of hockey...

The competition was held at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, the legacy park of London 2012. A coach full of enthusiastic parents and children left GHC at 7.30am for a fun-filled day out...

But with our sights firmly set on promotion we went into the 2014/15 season with eyes wide open, along with the firm belief that we could return to London Higgins Div 1.
