Three Under 10 Girls travelled to East Grinstead where they played in two different competitions against the hosts and also Sunbury & Walton Hawks. Two GHC teams were undefeated with one team winning their competition. Well done to all...

The Under 14 Girls entered five teams in leagues this season. The 'Ice' (aka 'B') team finished their league matches on Sunday with a win. This leaves them top of the league table with 8 wins from 8 matches played for a wopping 24 points...

GHC entered one team in the Surrey Cup tournament and two teams in the Surrey Plate tournament. Hosted mostly at Trinity School in Croydon last Sunday, it was a long day with 12 teams in the Cup and 24 competing for the Plate (in two locations!)...

We took one team formed from a mixture of our B & C team players to play against 2 teams from Epsom and 2 teams from Reigate Polecats. The weather forecast was appalling so I was checking email convinced it would be cancelled. We arrived to find standing water on the pitch but the rain was easing and stopped before the first game when the sun came out and kindly obliged us for the rest of the morning (perfect hockey weather in the end)...

The mixed U8's teams hosted Epsom and Camberley and Farnborough on Sunday, thankfully in between the heavy rain showers!

On Sunday March 5^th GHC GU10 hosted three teams from Aldershot & Farnborough HC. The weather overnight and that morning was atrocious with heavy rain and as I turned up Jeremy (GHC’s pitch manager amongst many other volunteer roles!) suggested we switch pitches so that the girls could shelter under the clubhouse and the parents could watch from the dry with a coffee. I was happy as it kept my precious paperwork dry...

Four GHC Under 12 Boys teams competed in the Surrey Cup and Plate Competitions that took place on Sunday 26 February. The As and Bs were in the Cup and the Cs and Ds competed in the Plate. The B team came oh so close to a semi-final in the Cup...

GHC Under 12 Boys competed in the Surrey Plate competition that took place at Surbiton HC on Sunday 26th February. Overall, four Under 12 Boys' teams participated in the Surrey Cup (2) and Surrey Plate (2). We are thrilled to report that one of the two Plate teams progressed through their pool to the knock-out stages and won the Surrey Plate 2017!!!
