GHC-Logo-117x160The Club held it's Annual General Meeting on Sunday 21 May to review the 2016/17 season and accounts and to approve the 2017/18 budget, subs and officers. Many thanks to all who came to support and participate to make your club the best it can be.

GU12SouthFinals2017-04-30The GU12s put in a great performance today at the South of England Regionals played at Merchant Taylors School...

BU18FinalsDay9After so many narrow losses in the EH cup knock-out over the past three seasons, the BU18s were thrilled to have won their first Mercian League Finals Day spot in recent memory by having come runner-up to Wycombe in the Mercian Premier League. The BU16s also earned a place having also come runner-up in their Premier League...

GU14FinalsDayPrem2017-04-30The Home Counties Girls Hockey League Finals Day culminates the league season. The HCGL host two competitions on Finals Day - one for the top four performing Premier League teams and one for the top four performing Regional League teams.  GHC had a GU14 team in each competition...

After plenty of additional training, the day had finally arrived and, having negotiated the challenges of the M25, the boys were ready for the Regionals. In a tough pool including last year's National winners, Canterbury, we knew we had to start strong against Reading to calm the nerves and set down a marker.

GU10CanterbryInv-1Three GHC teams participated in the Canterbury Spring Invitational: GU10, BU12 and GU12. A very enjoyable event at a top facility, here's how the Under 10 Girls fared in a super end to the season for them...

It was a glorious morning on Sunday, which was fortunate because the 0845 meeting time on the Sunday morning after the clocks went forward was putting a serious strain on my energy levels.  With two teams playing an U10 tournament at Wimbledon on the same morning, this was a great chance for some of the less experienced girls to represent Guildford at an U9 six-a-side event against the hosts, A&F, and by coincidence, Wimbledon...

GU10-Wimbledon-26mar17Finally the sun emerged on two teams of Under 10 Girls who travelled to Raynes Park. After a great showing in the Surrey Cup the girls were keen to work hard and enjoy themselves against Wimbledon and also Hampstead & Westminster...

U8Team20160326We hosted Aldershot and Farnham and Woking on what felt like a summers day! Great fun had by all with 4 Guildford teams taking part: Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Panthers. Some fantastic hockey and great goals scored by moving the ball wide from defence and quick passing. Well done to all!
