With an emphatic win on the weekend, the M1’s have managed a double over one of the league favourites with home and away victories for the season.
We kept it simple on attack and defence, creating chances and limiting the opposition to only a few half-chances. Our goals came in the form of a good corner from Tylo, a flick from Dan Fox and a tap in to an empty goal from Ellis Woodley after Gymkhana had taken their keeper off to try salvage a point.
Harry Relph was the standout performer, achieving another man of the match award. Jayme Crouch organised his defenders superbly and limited the Gymkhana team to a handful of shots which he dealt with, with ease.
Playing against a team like Indian Gymkhana is always refreshing. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and are passionate about the game - something we can all learn from.
The M1’s take on Winchester away this weekend and the weather is forecast to test both sides, it’ll be a good toss to win.
