The game started with both sides attacking and counter attacking. Witney took the upper hand, scoring from a penalty corner in the third minute. Guildford then took the game to Witney, having the majority of possession creating opportunities, but it was not until the 33rd minute until one attack resulted in Kerryn Swanepoel bringing the equaliser.
The second half commenced with Guildford attacking hard and a good combination of passes resulted in Maddie Richardson giving Guildford the lead. This was followed a few minutes later with Eliza finding the net from a goal mouth scramble.
Witney found it difficult to come back at this point and Guildford put the game beyond the visitors with a second goal from Kerryn. The final score was 4-1.
