 What a pleasure it was to be back on the pitch in preparation for the second half of the season.
The M1s were always going to have a tough first assignment away at Premier League club, Hampstead and Westminster, with a large group of players unavailable due to work and school commitments.
That said, there are no excuses as the selected team put in a top shift. We held the opposition, well until just before half time. Going into the break 0-1 down was a shame, as we had created a handful of decent chances.
The team put in the effort required, but understandably couldn’t hold on with a shortage of fresh legs to come off the bench.
The final score was 0-4. We look forward to bouncing back on Saturday against Milton Keynes at home
