 In most other matches so far this season, Guildford have waited until the second half to score most of their goals - not today!!
The Ladies' 2s shocked the opposition defence with their quick passing and high pressure, and were 3-0 up in the first ten minutes. Guildford continued to dominate throughout the first half with the defence making strong tackles, the midfield finding space and the forwards making leading runs.
The first half finished 5-0 with goals coming from excellent team play but officially on the team sheet for Anna, Katie, Harri and two for Emma.
London Edwardians came out fighting in the second half, with the play then much more end to end. Guildford continued to push forward, creating many opportunities. Eventually, Rachael slotted another goal past the opposition keeper.
London Edwardians consistent battling finally prevailed for them with a goal scored in the latter minutes of the game.
Another strong team performance from the Guildford 2s and another solid win to keep us third in the table.
