Storm played really well on a surprisingly hot and pleasant Sunday after a week of rain - especially well with no sub and it was hard work for a series of 7 matches.
Played 7: W4, L2, D1
Results: 1:0 Win, 1:0 Win, 0:3 Loss, 2:1 Win, 1:3 Loss, 2:2 Draw, 1:0 Win
The girls kept a 100% record against OC but lost to a strong Dragons 1st side and to the GHC GU10’s Fire team.
Storm also drew against the GHC GU10’s Hurricanes (who played exceptionally well during a good close match). Great to see scoring from all of the attacking 3 players in any combination.
The tackling and pressuring is Improving week by week and the side need to just work on awareness and positioning to effectively nullify the opposition attacking options. Great to see so much effort shown in covering back and supporting out wide and although tiring towards the end, fitness is improving week by week.
Player of the week was Eliza and special mentions to Tallulah, Amelia and Izzy. Great team effort and some things to work on for the 2nd half of this term as a team - well done and have a good break.
