It was a typical derby match against our friends from Woking. Usual argy bargy, incessant banter but no quarter given and intensity.
Guildford had a weakened side due to the social activities of Nigel and Steve and the early injuries to JT and Geoff, so effectively played with 10 men for most of the game.
In truth Woking should have won the game by more goals, but occasionally Guildford got close to snatching a draw. Craig had plenty to do in goal and was responsible for keeping the score down to a single goal.
Many thanks to Andy for umpiring (not the easiest game to control) and Dan Caesar from the Pilgrims to make up our numbers and add a bit of youth to the side. After the game, the pitch shenanigans were put to one side as we socialised together as Woking tried to drink the bar dry.
It was also good to see Mike Regan turn up and support us.
There is a break now until our last game - the rearranged game against Southampton Away on April 13th 1330.
