Guildford Ladies 1st XI regained their wining mojo with a trip to Trojans. The team travelled to the South coast with a smaller squad than normal due to injuries, but full of confidence...
Guildford attacked from the start, playing into a very strong head wind. Within 5 minutes we had won a short corner. Alice O’Hagan duly converted to give an early lead. The game settled down but Guildford remained dominant throughout the half, creating chances which were difficult to convert in the challenging wind! However, shortly before the half time whistle, a well timed pass from 1st team debutant, Caitlin Davis lead to Harriet Martin scoring to give a 2-0 lead at half time.
The second half commenced with Guildford taking the initiative; after a goal mouth scramble, Kat Percy found the back of the net to extend the lead. Guildford continued to press and 3 minutes before the end Harriet scored her second for a final score of 4-0.
The Ladies are playing their last home game on Saturday, come and see them celebrate the great season they have had! |
