GU12 Storm in 10-1 League Win

 14th Mar 2019

In the penultimate league game of the season and with only one loss in teh league, Storm were hoping for another win. Thankfully the rain held of this week, just the gale force wind to deal with!

Storm worked the ball well in the first quarter with some quick passing moves Annabelle and Caitlyn working well down the wings and Isobel in commanding form at centre midfield. It wasn't long before Storm opened the scoring with Katie finishing a well-worked attack down the right. Further goals came from Annabelle and Beth finishing with well placed shots.

Epsom continued to fight hard for possession and pulled a goal back before half time after a swift passing move down the right which Annouk hand little chance to save.

Jemima and Lola were solid in defence and with better movement off the ball, more and more chances came in the second half. Amelie distributed the ball well in midfield, her quick passing creating a number of openings for Beth, Caitlyn and Annabelle to add further goals. With much better final passes the goals continued to flow, Annouk in goal becoming a spectator for most of the final quarter. A good performance finishing 10-1.

Thanks again to all the parents and the umpire. Last league game against leaders Wimbledon mid-April, result could decide the title!
