 The GHC Men’s 1s unbeaten run has come to end after a fantastic 18 match streak. A deserving Horsham side were the team to do it at their place on Saturday afternoon.
It is hard to be negative after such a positive season so far. The sun was out, the umpires were on time (they have been late recently) and we were ready to go. Horsham scored three goals in the first half to Luke Rodgers’ second of the season.
I cannot fault the effort of the GHC men to try get back into the game. We scrambled one in from the baseline, bringing the score to 2-3 with ample time on the clock. It just wasn’t to be. Well done to Horsham, they were the deserving winners on the day.
There is absolutely no reason to panic after one loss. To quote two good friends Timon and Pumba; Hakuna Matata. The plan will be to regroup and push hard with three games to go.
