A great morning of hockey against some very strong teams including Wimbledon whom we lost to prior to Christmas. All the matches were tightly contested with Storm showing lots of fight and determination both going forward and in defence.
Lola and Jemima marked well and tackled hard along side Anouk in goal who made a number of great saves including a 3 on 1 in the closing minutes of the final game!!
Generally we were stronger and more reactive going forwards with Amelie, Evie, Beth and Anna B controlling the ball well in midfield and feeding Caitlyn B & D up front. Storm created some great opportunities and with better final passes the drawn games may well have been wins!
Caitlyn D and Anna B scored from a number of these opportunities whilst Amelie converted a cheeky 'TomaHawk', surprising the Wimbledon goalkeeper.
Things to work on in training, helping the defence with more movement at 16's and awareness of opposition players when defending.
