A particularly wet and windy day at Havant saw the Gondoliers huddle before the game in the dry changing rooms, making several forays to the pitch side to observe Jenno's A&F side draw with Havant 2’s.
It did stop raining for a good thirty minutes before the skies opened again with a deluge and this was the only logical explanation for the final score.
In the first half Havant were spared a double figures drubbing by their able stand-in goalie and Guildford only managed to convert 2 goal scoring opportunities.
Then came the rain and the second half with Guildford continuing to spend 90% of the time in Havant's half of the pitch.
It was good to see Nick and Mark shake off the cobwebs and make a contribution to our dominating play. As we inexorably move up the league table we are now in second position! |
