The shadows arrived at GHC in good spirit to play Horley.
With everyone arriving on time (for once), a thorough warm-up could be done and the boys seemed eager to go out and play.
Starting well, the Shadows pressed high and were winning the ball for the majority of the 1st half. However, some unlucky mistakes caused goals to come against us.
Second half arrived and the Shadows felt eager to forget the fisrt half.
Playing fast free hockey early in the second half with Dom Hardesty controlling the pace of the game and Lyno making leads, space was made but we couldn't convert our chances.
In the end, a frustrated side allowed the opposition to get the better of them and cheap goals were given away at the end for a 0-5 scoreline.
Some good signs in the match but lots of improvement to be made in training next week, too.
