GHC Men's 1s stay third in the South Prem 2 table following Saturday's win against Trojans.
We had a poor start, perhaps lacking confidence due to the heavy defeat of the previous week. We were soon 2 goals down and things did not look good. However, slowly the performance improved and two goals from Ross Fergusson put the teams level at half time.
Both teams had scoring opportunities in the second half but Guildford secured the win when James Dellis raced into the circle and slammed the ball into the top corner of the net.
With Tunbridge Wells and Banbury above us in the table also winning on Saturday and with only four league games to go, it looks as though promotion is now out of reach. A healthy set of results but a few too many draws have left us without the necessary points to catch second place.
