 Not a good start to 2018 with a depleted Gondoliers side and some still carrying the ravages of flu/colds...
We began well with a good struck goal from a penalty corner by Toby, and we were in command, but gradually our unfit strange formation generated dysfunctional results - and surprisingly nobody in the team had a good game - even Geoff's goal didn't actually need his help as it crept into the goal.
Horsham bolstered by some younger players deserved to win, after our series of poor passes/little control and missed opportunities. Richard managed to injure his shoulder so struggled in the second half and should have come off.
Still the curry afterwards was good and we were gracious in defeat.
Where was Nick Kuhle when we needed him.................................. |
