The Under 8 Boys and Girls were out in great numbers on Sunday and for some it was their first games ever played against different teams. A great time was had by all...
Tigers
The Tigers had a fabulous time on our first U8’s outing of the season. Only conceding 2 goals throughout the morning and scoring over 20, with nearly everyone getting on the score sheet. Well done to all for the robust tackling, decisive shooting and good vision to make passes to teammates. Areas to work on in training around keeping in space and awareness of other players. Great team spirit with the experienced players supporting the younger ones. Gracious in victory.
Team: Bea, Keegan, Harriet, Alice, Arthur, Matilda, Joep

Jaguars
The "Jaguars" were brilliant with all six of them scoring, as well as all getting involved in attack they all ensured a clean sheet for the tournament by being aware of where the opposition were and getting back into defence quickly to snuff out any opposition attacks - there were a few marauding runs with the ball, loads of great tackles and tenacious defending, several inspired passes and a whole bucket full of goals (30 in total!). Gracious in victory!
Team – Charlie, Shawn, Oliver, Maxi, Izzy, Thomas

Leopards
The Leopards had a fantastic time on Sunday. They won all their matches and showed a real team work! The more experienced players helped the less ones, which for some was their first ever tournament, to get into the game and pass the ball in order to move forward and create chances as well as defending the goal area from the attacking opposition. A lovely team spirit so well done to all and looking forward to seeing everyone developing their skills during the season. Parents, coaches and children had a fun morning!
Team: Will, Martha, Arthur, Elliot, Hattie, Sophia and Jasmine
