After a tense win the first round the A team travelled the short distance to Woking for our cup game. A 4-2 win at home against Haselmere meant a win today and we are through to the regionals next year.
The Score was a bit unfair .. its should have been 15 -3 … We should have taken our chances better and Ben G was truly excellent in goal saving three 1-on-1’s
In truth, the first 15 minutes were very close and a few losses in concentration made for a nervy start, but after that and once the first goal went in the opposition heads went down.
Six - nil up at half time and a chance to practice our style of play, the end result was a good win and through to the next round with one game still to play.
Two speical mentions: Ben B who was unplayable as right link, scoring and setting up a number of goals; and Ben G in Goal who came out quickly for the 1v1 and just did the simple stuff coolly!
