Guildford A’s played a very good Haselmere team in the first round of the EH Cup Competition.
Guildford went ahead in the first half, but Haselmere quickly equalised. After a tense first half it ended 1-1.
Haselmere came out stronger at the beginning of the second half and had a couple of early short corner opportunities. A couple of excellent saves from Ben G, were followed by Freddie B making an outstanding save off the line to prevent a goal. With some great passing, Guildford started to dominate the second half and soon went ahead 2-1. A couple of quick goals followed and Guildford were ahead 4-1 and the game was effectively won. Haselmere scored a consolation goal at the end to make it 4-2.
