Another game day for the magnificent u8 squad full of young keen players. The boys and girls have been a pleasure to coach on a Friday evening and we now have nearly 80 kids keen to play and learn with their friends. We took 4 teams down to Aldershot & Farnham in the Siberian weather and a lot of fun was had in each of the teams.
Thanks to all the parents, coaches and helpers for their continued support week-in-week-out. We also had a number of u8s supporting the u10 squads in their efforts at the u10 Surrey events which was great to see. Every week we keep getting new and interested kids starting hockey for the first time.
A fantastic morning had by all and a great team effort with 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. After a cold start the team warmed up with some great skills, passing and movement off the ball. Lots of goals but also some really good defending as the morning went on. Last off the pitch and still wanting more! Well done team!

The Jaguars had a fantastic time on Sunday. They won all of their games and only drew the last match against a very well organised Aldershot. Undefeated the team played very well passing the ball and creating opportunities. By doing this all the players managed to score at least one goal as we rotated position in each game. Lots of determination and team spirit made a great enjoyable morning by all. It is great to see them growing in confidence. Well done!

The Guildford Tigers lived up to their name and played a very fast and dynamic hockey. This resulted in 6 wins and 1 draw on the cold and windy army pitch of Aldershot. As the morning progressed these five tigers improved on passing and calling for the ball with every game and the joy of playing was there till the end. Well done girls and boys, a big ROAR to you!
Team – William, Matthew, Andrew, Martha, Hanna

The Guildford Leopards - came out of Sunday's games with 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. A great set of results for a team who played every match available (and would have played more!) never stopped running or shouting for the ball. On big pitches they worked hard to find space and to find their friend in that space. It was also great to see them happily interchanging positions between matches. A top effort.
Team - Will, Alexandre, Niamh, Imogen and Tilly
