On Saturday, GHC Ladies' 1s hosted Tulse Hill who were second place in the South Premier League table, two places above GHC...
The game was played at the normal high tempo. The opponents had learnt from the reverse game on how to minimise Guildford’s attacking style and effectively kept them at bay. Guildford created opportunities but could not convert. Equally, Tulse Hill were also restricted by some good defensive work and some great saves from Alice Cobb.
Guildford started the second half with more sense of purpose and created more chances, but they could just not convert. Encouragingly the Guildford team dominated the majority of the second half and kept a clean sheet.
