Another super second half performance from GHC M1’s, solidifying our spot in the top four of this league.
It absolutely poured down on Saturday afternoon in Winchester and from the first whistle, we all half expected the game to be called off short. A big thanks to the umpires for sticking it out and getting through the game.
We conceded first, as we did in the first-round match against the same side at home. As it did back in October, the goal kicked us into action and there was no turning back.
Sam Plater scored our first with a neat deflection into the roof of the net. From then on, it was a case of high-quality ball retention resulting in a number of corners and clear cut opportunities which we took well.
Another junior payer has taken the Man of the Match award in only his fourth appearance for the Club; Churcher’s College player Porter was excellent at left back.
Next week we take on West Hampstead who we drew against away in the first half of the season. It would be great to turn that result into a win this weekend.
