 Guildford Juniors were treated to a fantastic half-term camp on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday this week. Dan Fox organised the coaches and content for us and Martin Robbins of Holcbombe HC expertly directed and organised Monday & Tuesday with teammate Tom Moore. GB Internationals Zoe Shipperley, Ian Sloan and Harry Gibson were all there, too, sharing their experience, demonstrating their skills and inspiring the players in different ways. GHC Coaches Alice Lane and Craig Mullon were also coaching alongside them for a superb coach to player ratio.
Our players were engaged, working hard and having fun - what more could you ask!? Ian, Harry and Zoe answered their questions in a Q&A and also signed their sticks, shoes, bags and anything else they could find.
On Thursday GB Player of the Year David Ames took the lead with Zoe and our own Craig Mullon to put the older juniors through their paces. Excellent drills and skills and another fascinating Q&A.
Fortitude UK Ltd were also with us on Thursday with 21 keepers! Hems Davis who runs our Friday evening training at GHC was joined by GB No 2 keeper Harry Gibson and two experienced assistants for a super coach to goalie ratio. Loads of fun games and drills and a great demontration by Harry who donned his kit to show us how it's done.
Plenty of smiles from all of the players - and the coaches, too! What more could you ask - the sun even shone in late October at GHC this week.
