Welcome!
Women's hockey is thriving at GHC! We are adding another new team this season and will have 7 teams in the new re-structured England Hockey leagues from 2021/22!
Come and give it a go - we have something for all ability and experience levels from beginners and those getting back to hockey to those pushing for National League.
We pride ourselves on providing fun and engaging hockey for all.
Please contact our Women's Section Captain, Jo Collins, for more information:
Clubhouse and Pitches
Our Clubhouse is located behind Broadwater School - GU7 3BW - where we have access to two newly re-laid pitches and are building a practice/warm-up area.
We also use Charterhouse - GU7 2RS - where we have access to two excellent quality pitches.
After each home game we invite our opposition and umpires to join us in the clubhouse for a hot meal and a cup of tea or a beverage (or two!) from the bar.
Results, Fixtures, Tables
England Hockey have implemented a new Game Management System (GMS) to replace dozens of other platforms previously in use across England. We do not yet have a way to show each set of league fixtures and results on our webpages (as previously in Fixtures Live) - please use the links below to check on our GHC Women's teams:
New Leagues: South East Area
Guildford HC are part of the newly organised England Hockey South East Area - green on the map to the left.
South East is one of 8 new Areas goverened by England Hockey.
West is one of two new Sub-Areas, the other is East.
Oaks is one of three new Sub-Areas, the other two are Martlets and Invicta. These correspond roughly to the previous Surrey, Sussex and Kent county areas.
G2 to G5 on the above table refer to Grades 2 to 5:
- Grades are a number of Divisions within a league pyramid that are banded together to share the same requirements for participant eligibility and competition/matchday administration.
England Hockey League is Grade 1 (Premier, Divisions 1 and 2, and the four Conferences).
See all South East Area League fixtures here on the England Hockey website.

You are Very Welcome
We welcome new members at all levels as we have a wide spread of abilities across our membership. Please contact for more information about our Women's section or click on any of the names in the table above or on our Club Contacts page.
Our Women's Section has more than 80 members with 8 teams entered into Leagues, indoor hockey and thriving Back to Hockey sessions for those who are new to the sport or who haven't touched a stick in some time.
Many of our Juniors are invited to train and play with our Women's teams; our coaches work with individual players to manage this transition when it is right for the player.
We have our own Clubhouse overlooking two newly re-laid astropitches (re-laid in 2019 and 2021). We are building a new practice area as well for warm-ups and extra training sessions.
Our Back to Hockey sessions are designed for women who maybe haven't touched a hockey stick since their youth and are looking to brush up on their skills, have some fun, get fit or meet people (or all of the above). Beginners are also welcome. Many of those who come eventually play in a match once their confidence is up and if they so choose - no pressure, but the opportunity is there for it.
Recent League and Cup Highlights
