Junior Talent System
The junior Talent System at Guildford Hockey Club offers outstanding coaching to high potential players from across Southwest Surrey and Hampshire.
Talent Academy (Ages 14-18)
The Guildford Talent Academy runs throughout the year and caters for 25 players of each gender from school years 10-13. As part of the Great Britain Talent System, players in the Talent Academy attend 32 evening sessions during the year and play fixtures against other Talent Academies.
Talent Academy Players have Individual Development plans, are given performance/video analysis programmes, and nutrition, strength and conditioning, and sport psychology support.

Trials for the 2023-2024 Talent Academy take place on Sunday 7th May and Sunday 25th June 2023 at Guildford Hockey Club.
Future Stars Advanced (Ages 14-18)
The Future Stars Advanced Programme runs alongside the Guildford Talent Academy. Approximately 40 places are available for players of each gender in school years 10-13.
The programme runs throughout the year, with over 20 evening sessions and 6 training days.
Players will also receive nutrition, strength and conditioning and sports psychology support through the programme. The Future Stars programme caters for both GHC Members and non-members.
Trials for the 2023-2024 Future Stars Advanced programme take place on Sunday 7th May and Sunday 25th June 2023 at Guildford Hockey Club.

Future Stars Foundations (Ages 8-14)
The Future Stars Foundations Programme offers additional weekly training to players from across Sout West Surrey and Hampshire. The aim is to provide high quality pitch sessions throughout the hockey season that support players’ development and allow them to stay at their home club for regular junior hockey.
There are no trials for the Future Stars Foundations Programme. Players should sign up to the Guildford Hockey Club Teamo App to register for taster sessions and/or contact for further details.
