GHC have more than 40 junior goalkeepers from U10 to U18. Our goalkeepers are really motivated to improve - they train hard and play as many matches as they can!
Our keepers enjoy a weekly specialist training session during the season (Sep to Mar); these take place on a Friday evening and the coaching is led by Fortitude UK, Ltd, the industry leader in goalkeeper coaching.
Goalkeepers are also encouraged to attend their age group squad training (Friday evening).
We also have options for extra coaching both during the summer and school holidays and also mid-week sessions during the season.

If you don't have your own kit or would like to have a go at goalkeeping, we can lend kit. We ask a £100 deposit.
2020/21 Goalkeeper Weekly Training During the Season
Weekly specialist GK training sessions during the season are delivered by Fortitude Hockey UK Ltd and supported by GHC coaches and assistants. Sessions take place on a Friday evening at Broadwater School (U10s, BU12, BU14) and at Charterhouse (GU12/14/16, BU16).
Specialist GK Coaching Times
Timings are set so that keepers can attend both squad and specialist training on a Friday evening. Specific timings for 2020/21 TBC.
Age Group Squad Training Times and Venues
Keepers are also encouraged to participate in their squad training. Squad training times for 2019/20 here:
- Under 10 Boys and Girls - 6pm-7:30pm at GHC Broadwater
- Under 12 Boys and Under 14 Boys - 7:30pm-9pm at GHC Broadwater
- Under 12 Girls and Under 14 Girls - 6:30-8pm at Charterhouse
- Under 16 Boys and Under 16 Girls - 8pm-9:30 at Charterhouse
