Sports Injury Clinic - AMJ
No matter how fit you are, injuries happen. To ensure that GHC members get prompt treatment and get back on the pitch as soon as possible, AMJ Sports Injury Clinic not only has its own room in the GHC clubhouse at Broadwater School but is a sponsor of the Men's and Ladies 1st XI's. This is not just a clinic for first team players, it is available to any member of GHC and even visitors. GHC members do get a discount.
Run by Adrian Jenkinson, for the 2012/13 season, Adrian will be open for business on Wednesday and Thursday evenings so if you injured and can't train, you can still get treatment. See the details here.

At the end of last season we narrowly missed out on winning the League which would have given us a chance of getting back into the Premiership and the feeling that with a couple of new players we would be one of the favourites this year.............well things seem to have changed!
You always expect a couple of players every season to move on, usually down to a change of location, but sadly this year 9 players have decided to move on. Some I knew about, some came as a disappointing shock! So I guess it's back to the drawing board!
Pre season has been tricky and the learning curve for some of the youngsters that have joined us has been steep to say the least but...... Slowly and surely we are getting there and they are getting to appreciate and understand exactly what is required to play at this level.
Training is tough, nothing new there! Sink or swim.....fair to say we are doing the doggy paddle but at least we are afloat and moving forward. Lot of information to take in and it's a testament to all involved that we are in this together with no moans or groans (well none to me) and accept that this is going to be a tough year. But we will do what we do best: be as one and adopt an understanding that its got to be 'all of the people all of the time' and not 'some of the people some of the time!'
We will need your support even more this year and your understanding from the sideline that this will undoubtably be a tough year. We gain much confidence when we see large vociferous numbers on the sideline irrespective of the age. And I have no doubt that with the enormous success the Junior section has had in the last 18 months, it will not be long before some of them will be with me in the Men's 1st XI. If we are able to bring some of the talent through to the Men's and Ladies section, then that has got to be worth fighting for.
A final thank you to our sponsors who, once again, have chosen to support us and without whom the cost of the away trips and training would hit the players very hard. The sponsors' financial contribution enables them to concentrate on training and playing.......minus the after match fines of course!
