GHC President Maggs Kyte is here with former President Mel Burgess (standing, left) and former President Alex Laver (seated), who celebrated her 100th birthday this week:
Alex started playing for Merrow Ladies when she was still at school.
She moved to Guildford HC when the two clubs joined during the war.
She was a corporal in the WWAF during the war and was an aircraft fitter.
Alex has travelled the world including white water rafting on the Zambezi when she was in her 70s!
