 First Aid Courses at GHC are resuming this month - details below from AMJ First Aid Training...
Hope you are all safe and well and managing well during the covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown period.
We have the opportunity of running the First Aid course under COVID-19 First Aid Training Policy before the season starts.
Some of you at GHC need to renew your first aid certificate as yours runs out in October, this a great opportunity to do it now.
Covid-19 Arrangements -
On arrival all students will have their temperature taken and be given their packs with mask and gloves to put on, anyone who has any of the covid-19 symptoms will be unable to attend the course. (Symptoms are a new continuous cough, temperature over 37.8, loss of taste or smell. One off or a combination.)
We are able to have 6 participants instead of 12 due to social distancing every student will need to wear a mask and gloves when performing practical tasks.
Due to Covid-19 we are unable to provide refreshments on this occasion and you would be encouraged to bring your own. Please also bring your own pens and paper.
Payment -
The club has kindly offered to pay for a percentage of the course if you are a volunteer or paid Staff at GHC, each participant pays £40 towards the cost.
If you are not from GHC the cost is £125.00, As the course can be used in your workplace it may be worth asking your Manager or club to subsidize your course. All money is paid by card to Angie Jenkinson on the first day of the course.
DBS Check, Online Safeguarding Course, 2 References -
For those who are coaching or volunteering with young people, you will also need to have your DBS, Safeguarding certificate and two references in date. Please contact Club Welfare Officer if you have any questions or need help; please arrange to have these done asap, preferably before the course.
