Safe Guarding (Children Protection)

As you may be aware England Hockey have changed the entire SAFE GUARDING (child protection) regime so that all hockey clubs all over the UK have the same forms and policies etc.

If you are a committee or management team member, a captain or vice captain of any team, a coach or volunteer or team manager or anyone that has any contact in any capacity with anyone under 18 then YOU MUST get a CRB form from Michelle Fussell mobile 079766676821 or email michelle.fussell@lineone.net, Even if you have a CRB from another job YOU MUST have a Guildford hockey club CRB.

Please return the form written in BLACK ink to Michelle with THREE identification requirements Passport, Driving licence, Birth certificate, Marriage certificate (if married), along with a recent utility bill with your address on.

Many of you had these forms at the beginning of this season and last and still haven't returned them to Michelle PLEASE PLEASE make her life easier and return them NOW.

You will see on the SAFE GUARDING PAGE on the website other forms that you need to fill out and return to Michelle, namely:

1. Application form for position of working with young people in hockey, (COACHES, VOLUNTEERS,TEAM MANAGERS)
2. Self-disclosure form, reference form for positions of working with young people in hockey, (COACHES, VOLUNTEERS,TEAM MANAGERS)
3. Consent for taking and use of photographic and recording images of young people, (PARENTS & YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER 18)
4. Registration for the use of photographic or recorded image equipment at hockey events.(ANYONE IN CLUB)

England Hockey have also brought in policies on

1. Policy on 'Anti-Bullying',
2. Policy on taking and use of photographic and recorded images

England Hockey have also brought in Guidance on

1. Young Persons Guide
2. Parent/Legal guardian Guide

England Hockey has also brought in new registration forms for all clubs which we will start using as from 2010.

Guildford Hockey club is undertaking to have and maintain all the new ENGLAND HOCKEY'S POLICY ON SAFE GUARDING AND PROTECTING YOUNG PEOPLE IN HOCKEY because GUILDFORD HOCKEY CLUB IS PROUD TO PROTECT OUR YOUNG PEOPLE.
