Brian Kemp
We are sad to report the death of Brian Kemp at the age of 79. He was a very active member of the Club in the 60s, 70s & 80s. His time with GHC included mainly playing for the 3rd and 4th XI, and the Gondoliers. He served as the GHC Honorary Treasurer where he set up strict financial practices for the Club and also had the distinction of handing over the job to Peter Austin. Most people’s memories of Brian seem to be associated with post-match activities and are accompanied with words like ‘outrageous’, ‘responsible for some of the most amusing moments of my life’, ‘great company’, etc ….
His family were joined by connections from Brian’s world of The City, Woking and the South Coast around Rustington for the funeral at Bracknell. Four of us from GHC attended.
